Nejdřív jsem si myslel, že je to děsivý sen nebo pradávná vzpomínka mých předků, ale byla to hnusná a krutá realita. Lidé nabodnutí na kůly, jejich uříznuté hlavy vystavené na veřejnosti. Lámání v kole, tortura těla i mysli. Špinavé kobky, plné hladovějících a čekajících na smrt. Historie se opakuje, temnota má nové jméno - SIJJEEL. Když brutální death metal, tak prosím stejně surový a masakrující.

Minulé album "Salvation Within Insanity" jsem poslouchal stále dokola. Fascinovala mě na něm technika, zvuk, spousta zajímavých momentů i pach zkažené krve, který k tomuto stylu patří, jako k mrtvému rakev. Na novinku jsem byl tedy velmi zvědavý. Loni ještě vyšlo jedno EP s názvem "The Concurrent Cycle". Pokud jste fanoušci podobných shnilých záležitostí, doplňte si prosím svoji sbírku, zklamáni rozhodně nebudete. Letos pánové pokračují ve své morbidní práci. A myslím, že se jim novinka opět podařila. Při poslechu si připadám, jako při veřejné popravě.

Nejdřív jsem si myslel, že mi budou vadit naprogramované bicí, ale nakonec jsem si zvykl. Ono se totiž od začátku do konce jedná o divokou a šílenou smršť, tsunami riffů, guturálního vokálu a totálně zničující atmosféry. Připadám si jako při srážce s náklaďákem plným kostí. Jsem vyvržen zaživa, zbaven jakéhokoliv masa a zůstávají pouze ohlodané kosti. SIJJEEL jsou naštvaní, techničtí tak akorát, aby mě to nerušilo a zároveň se snaží objevovat nová temná zákoutí. Nutno rovnou dodat, že se jim to daří na výbornou. Hodně k tomu přispívá masivní a hutný zvuk, pod kterým je podepsán zpěvák Floor van Kuijk (GLDCHN (A Pretext To Human Suffering, Carnifloor)). Zajímavý je i obal (Rudi Gorgingsuicide (Perveration, Desecrate The Faith atd.), který je děsivý a perfektně se hodí k hudbě. Zkrátka a dobře, pokud se vám líbí kapely jako DISENTOMB, DEFEATED SANITY, DEEDS OF FLESH, SUFFOCATION, INFERNAL TORMENT, IMMOLATION, DEVANGELIC, budete určitě spokojeni. Osobně se mi líbí, že se kapela snaží objevovat, posouvat hranice stylu. Dělá to sice v rámci jasně psaných pravidel, ale album se rozhodně velmi dobře poslouchá. Je to propracovaný masakr, trepanace lebky, nastavené zrcadlo našich zvrácených myšlenek. "Affiliation Of Horrid Containment" je dalším zásekem od téhle smečky, který se velmi povedl. I listened to the last album "Salvation Within Insanity" over and over again. I was fascinated by the technique, the sound, many interesting moments and the smell of rotten blood that belongs to this style, like a dead coffin. So I was very curious about the novelty. Last year there was one more EP called "The Concurrent Cycle". If you're a fan of rotten stuff like this, please add to your collection, you won't be disappointed. This year the gentlemen continue their morbid work. And I think they've succeeded again. Listening to them, I feel like I'm at a public execution.

At first I thought the programmed drums would bother me, but eventually I got used to it. It's a wild and crazy whirlwind from start to finish, a tsunami of riffs, guttural vocals and totally devastating atmosphere. I feel like I've been hit by a truck full of bones. I'm being ejected alive, stripped of all flesh and left with nothing but gnawed bones. SIJJEEL are angry, techy just enough not to disturb me while trying to explore new dark corners. I must add right away that they succeed in doing this to perfection. A lot of this is contributed by the massive and dense sound, which is underpinned by vocalist Floor van Kuijk (GLDCHN (A Pretext To Human Suffering, Carnifloor)). The cover artwork (Rudi Gorgingsuicide (Perveration, Desecrate The Faith, etc.)) is also interesting, which is eerie and fits the music perfectly. All in all, if you like bands like DISENTOMB, DEFEATED SANITY, DEEDS OF FLESH, SUFFOCATION, INFERNAL TORMENT, IMMOLATION, DEVANGELIC, you will definitely be satisfied. Personally, I like that the band is trying to explore, to push the boundaries of style. It does it within clearly written rules, but the album is definitely very listenable. It's an elaborate massacre, a skull-shaking, a set mirror of our twisted thoughts. "Affiliation Of Horrid Containment" is another hit from this pack that is very good. I can't help but recommend it to anyone who enjoys such atrocities. And not only to them.
