Vždycky jsem si myslel, že když zemřu, tak naleznu klid. Lehnu si do chladné rakve a pomalu se rozpadnu v prach. Jenže je to úplně jinak. Na pohřeb mi nikdo nepřišel, nikdo mi nepoložil květiny na hrob. Jsem prokletý, uhranutý a navěky se budu toulat mezi naším a oním světem. V nekonečných bolestech se budu modlit, abych konečně potkal Satana. Má to ale jednu nespornou výhodu. Stále se ke mě dostávají dobré death metalové desky.

Můžu tak pořádat další a další okultní rituály a naplno si vychutnávat nahrávky, jako je ta od britských VATICINAL RITES. Jedná se o hrubý, na pevných krvavých základech postavený kov ze staré školy. Zahraný s elegancí mistrů v oboru. Tohle je přesně hudba, kvůli které se vyplatí zemřít. Nebo se stát nemrtvým? To vím jenom já a všichni démoni.

Britové jsou syroví, brutální, nekompromisní. Nezapomínají ale ani na chladné melodie. Určitě to znáte. Stačí pár poslechů a člověk musí zajít do sklepa. Se sluchátky na uších zhasnout všechna světla. Teprve potom, v plesnivé kobce, vynikne vše nejvíce. Líbí se mi, že se kapela nadrží jen tradičních, klasických postupů, ale snaží se přinést i něco nového, neotřelého. Pánové dávají do skladeb kus sebe samých a toho si samozřejmě cením. Nezapomnělo se na masivní a dobře čitelný zvuk, obal (Pedro Moriendee) se také stane zajisté inspirací pro mnohé morbidní básníky. V jednotlivých motivech lze naleznout lehkou inspiraci kapelami jako MORBID ANGEL, MONSTROSITY, DEAD CONGREGATION. Každý si doplníte možná i další jména, ale to není vůbec důležité. Hlavní je, že album drží pohromadě jako čerstvě vyrobená rakev. Je vlastně jedno, jakým způsobem jednou zemřete. Jasná je pouze jedna věc. "Cascading Memories of Immortality" je albem, které budete poslouchat ještě dlouho po své smrti. Alespoň já, starej pes, to mám takhle nastavené. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem pánové pracují v pochmurnými náladami, jak vše graduje, zároveň je tajemné, divoké. Melodie jsou zde jako zkažená krev, bublající a čekající na to, až někdo vřed rozřízne. Potom se vyhrne ven s obrovskou silou. Přesně takhle na mě tahle deska působí. Myslím si, že každý, kdo má tenhle styl rád, by si měl několikrát nahrávku poslechnout. Určitě stojí zato. Vždycky jsem si myslel, že když zemřu, tak naleznu klid. Lehnu si do chladné rakve a pomalu se rozpadnu v prach. Jenže je to úplně jinak. Temná, krutá, morbidní death metalová brána do podsvětí byla otevřena! Masakr v márnici!

So I can organize more and more occult rituals and fully enjoy records like the one from the British VATICINAL RITES. This is rough, old school metal built on solid bloody foundations. Played with the elegance of masters in the field. This is the kind of music worth dying for. Or become undead? Only me and all the demons know that.

The British are raw, brutal, uncompromising. But they don't forget the cool melodies either. I'm sure you know that. Just a few listens and you have to go to the basement. With headphones on, turn off all the lights. Only then, in a musty dungeon, does everything stand out the most. I like that the band doesn't just stick to the traditional, classical methods, but tries to bring something new and fresh. The gentlemen put a piece of themselves into the songs and I appreciate that, of course. They haven't forgotten about the massive and easy to read sound, the cover (Pedro Moriendee) will also surely become an inspiration for many morbid poets. In the individual motifs one can find a slight inspiration from bands like MORBID ANGEL, MONSTROSITY, DEAD CONGREGATION. Everyone may add other names, but that's not important at all. The main thing is that the album holds together like a freshly made coffin. It doesn't really matter which way you die one day. Only one thing is clear. "Cascading Memories of Immortality" is an album that you'll be listening to long after you're dead. At least that's how I, an old dog, have it set up. I like the way the gentlemen work in somber moods, how everything graduates, at the same time is mysterious, wild. The melodies here are like tainted blood, bubbling and waiting for someone to cut open the ulcer. Then it bursts out with tremendous force. That's exactly how this record affects me. I think anyone who likes this style should give the record a few listens. It's definitely worth it. I always thought I'd find peace when I died.
