Už dávno si myslel, že je vše v pořádku. Kdysi ošklivá rána se zahojila a nic ho nebolelo. Až dodnes, když začal poslouchat nové album amerických tmářů DEGRAVED. Jakoby se vrátila všechna bolest a utrpení. Vřed se znovu zanítil, tepala v něm zkažená krev. Mohli jste jej několikrát proříznout, vyčistit a stejně se znovu objevila černá a smradlavá tekutina. Nepomáhaly léky, ani zaříkávání. Začal vyhledávat temná zákoutí. Nemohl na světlo a postupně se rozpadl v prach.
Tahle smečka vydala v roce 2020 demo nahrávku "Exhumed Remnants" a loni EP "Whispered Morbidity". Letos vychází u labelu Chaos records oba počiny dohromady. Je mi velkou ctí, že se ke mě dostala tahle hudba na recenzi. Je totiž přesně tou odrůdou, vypěstovanou v Hádově říši, kterou vždy rád ochutnám. Zhasl jsem všechna světla a nechal na sebe novinku působit. Začala se mi postupně ozývat bolest z jedné staré rány.
Pánové na to jsou hezky postaru, poctivě. Pokud se vám líbí kapely jako CIANIDE, FUNEBRARUM, DISMA, NECROS CHRISTOS, budete určitě spokojeni jako já. Byly splněny všechny náležitosti proto, aby byl vřed znovu proříznut. Zaujme masivní, prašivý zvuk, stylově vyvedený obal, ale hlavně spousta mokvajících nápadů, které vás obejmou jako silné pavučiny. Poslech je spíše procházkou v záhrobí, pradávnou seancí, než jen obyčejným setkáním. Líbí se mi způsob i provedení, s jakými kapela ke své morbidní práci přistupuje. Poslouchat "Whispered Morbidity & Exhumed Remnants" je jako prosévat mezi prsty prach z čerstvě exhumovaného hrobu. Tohle je muzika pro všechny, kteří vyrůstali na extrémní muzice v devadesátých letech minulého století. Budete smrdět sírou i měděným pachem krve. Zavřeni v temných kobkách budete pomalu přidávat hlasitost. Já jsem to alespoň takto dělal. Vše je ohlodáno na kost, riffy jsou ostré a surové, vokál nasáklý chorobami a bicí vám vytlučou mozek z hlavy. Zároveň, a to velmi oceňuji, se nezapomnělo ani na melodie a celkovou pochmurnou atmosféru. DEGRAVED jsou na velmi dobré cestě, řeku Styx překročili velmi elegantně a se zkušenostmi mistrů v oboru. This pack released the demo "Exhumed Remnants" in 2020 and the EP "Whispered Morbidity" last year. This year, both releases will be released together on Chaos records. I'm very honored to have been sent this music for review. It is exactly the variety, grown in Hades' realm, that I always like to taste. I turned off all the lights and let the novelty wear off. Gradually, the pain of an old wound began to reverberate.
Gentlemen are nice and old-fashioned, honest. If you like bands like CIANIDE, FUNEBRARUM, DISMA, NECROS CHRISTOS, you will be satisfied like me. All the requisites have been fulfilled in order to cut the ulcer again. The massive, dusty sound, the stylish cover art, but most importantly the many swamping ideas that will embrace you like thick cobwebs will impress. Listening is more of a walk in the beyond, an ancient seance, than a simple encounter. I like the manner and execution with which the band approaches their morbid work. Listening to "Whispered Morbidity & Exhumed Remnants" is like sifting through the dust of a freshly exhumed grave between your fingers. This is music for anyone who grew up on extreme music in the 1990s. You'll reek of brimstone and the coppery smell of blood. Locked in dark dungeons, you'll slowly turn up the volume. At least that's how I did it. Everything is gnawed to the bone, the riffs are sharp and raw, the vocals are soaked with disease and the drums will knock your brains out. At the same time, and I really appreciate this, the melodies and the overall gloomy atmosphere are not forgotten. DEGRAVED are on a very good path, they crossed the river Styx very elegantly and with the experience of masters in the field. For a long time now I thought everything was in order.
