Zasvětil tomu celý život. Spoustu let hledal vchod do pekla, až nakonec zjistil, že ďábel existuje v každém z nás. Nikdy se nevzdal, studoval staré spisy, pátral v archívech, četl knihy pana H.P. Lovercrafta. Nakazil se zlem, špínou a jeho obličej vykazoval jasné známky postupného rozkladu. Teď stojí ve starém močálu, kolem plují nafouklá těla utopenců a nasává morbidní atmosféru. Přemýšlí o smrti, o konci všeho. Nebo začátku? Potom zazní první tón. Nové EP britských maniaků VOID BELOW je velmi návykovou záležitostí.
Alespoň tedy pro mě, starého metalového psa. Stále vyhledávám muziku, o které si myslím, že je dobrá. Která mě dokáže přikovat na zeď, která ve mě umí probudit pestrou paletu temných nálad. Novinka "World Undone" je skvělou nahrávkou, plnou zajímavých momentů.
Stylově lze tuhle smečku připodobnit ke kapelám jako MORBID ANGEL, FUNEBRARUM, BLOOD INCANTATION, GORGUST, DEMILICH, VASTUM. To ale není zase tolik důležité. Hlavní je, že mě baví nové EP poslouchat. Samozřejmostí je velmi dobrý zvuk, zajímavý obal i produkce, kterou si užívám. Nejdůležitější ale je, že kapela dokáže napsat skladby, které se vám zadřou hluboko do mozku i pod kůži. Je to opravdu pestrá záležitost. Základem je klasický, tradiční kov smrti, přidávány jsou potom velmi vkusně a elegantně progresivní a technické pasáže. Zároveň si pánové zachovávají divokost, neurvalost a sílu. Ano, je to právě energie, nakumulovaný vztek, které vás rozdrtí. Doporučuji poslouchat velmi pozorně. Troufám si tvrdit, že vše vynikne až po několika společných setkáních. Tahle deska chce čas a klid. Pro mě osobně je potom loňský počin velkým, příjemným překvapením. Někdy si připadám jako starý nomád, který je neustále na cestách. Vyhledávám nahrávky, které žhnou a pálí, které jsou ukovány z té nejkvalitnější oceli. "World Undone" lze doporučit všem, kteří rádi u hudby také přemýšlejí, kteří mají otevřenou mysl a bohatou fantazii. Zasvětil jsem tomu celý život. At least for me, an old metal dog. I still seek out music that I think is good. That can drive me up the wall, that can awaken a variety of dark moods in me. The new "World Undone" is a great record, full of interesting moments.
Stylistically this pack can be compared to bands like MORBID ANGEL, FUNEBRARUM, BLOOD INCANTATION, GORGUST, DEMILICH, VASTUM. But that's not so important. The main thing is that I enjoy listening to the new EP. Of course I enjoy the sound, the interesting cover and the production. But the most important thing is that the band can write songs that dig deep into your brain and under your skin. It's a really varied affair. The foundation is classic, traditional death metal, then very tastefully and elegantly progressive and technical passages are added. At the same time, the gentlemen retain their ferocity, rawness and power. Yes, it is the energy, the accumulated rage that will crush you. I recommend listening very carefully. I dare to say that everything will become clear after a few meetings together. This record needs time and peace. For me personally, then, last year's release is a big, pleasant surprise. Sometimes I feel like an old nomad who is always on the move. I seek out records that burn and blaze, that are forged from the finest steel. "World Undone" can be recommended to anyone who also likes to think with music, who has an open mind and a rich imagination. I have devoted my whole life to it.
