Míval jsem děsivé představy. Stávalo se mi čím dál tím častěji, že jsem se z nočních můr neprobudil. Chodil jsem po světě, bílý jako stěna. Můj obličej vypadal jako od popela. Bál jsem se světla a moje krev byla zkažená a černá. Třásl jsem se chladem, i když bylo teplo. Lidé se mě stranili a myslím si, že měli i strach. Občas jsem na ně mluvil cizí, zvířecí řečí. Všichni si nakonec oddychli, když jsem přešel na druhou stranu. Do země nekonečných stínů. Mezi přízraky. Mě se také ulevilo, hraje se zde totiž jenom muzika, která je mému srdci vlastní.

Dánští death black metaloví tmáři PANZERCHRIST přicházejí po loňském skvělém albu "Last of a Kind" (odkaz na recenzi naleznete dole pod článkem) s novým EP "All Witches Shall Burn", které je opět po okraj narvané temnotou, zlem a nekonečným utrpením. Zapalte tedy znovu ohně, pohodlně se usaďte a nechte se unášet na krvavých vlnách řeky Styx.

Čtveřice skvěle napsaných songů, s podmanivě černou atmosférou, vás navěky prokleje. Jedná se o hudbu, kterou uctívám již od svého mládí a pečlivě sleduji cestu téhle smečky. Líbí se mi, že si umí vždy perfektně hrát s morbidními náladami. Jakoby kolem mě ve staré kobce praskaly plesnivé kosti. Ze songů je cítit chlad a absolutní tma. To zase tolik kapel neumí. PANZERCHRIST lze vzdáleně přirovnat k tomu, co hrají třeba takoví DARK FUNERAL, NECROPHOBIC. Kombinace mrazivých black metalových pasáží s hrubým a syrovým smrtícím kovem. To vše zabaleno v plesnivých pavučinách a podáváno na víku od rakve. Skvělý zvuk, děsivý obal, produkce, celkové provedení, to vše je samozřejmě na té nejlepší úrovni. Na tuhle smečku je vždy spolehnutí. K EP "All Witches Shall Burn" jsem se nejraději vracel, když už byla venku tma a foukal ledový vítr. Musel jsem vždy vyrazit ven, nasadit na hlavu sluchátka a zmizet z civilizace. Novinka má v sobě velkou pradávnou sílu, posbíranou snad na prokletých pohřebištích, v dávno opuštěných katakombách i daleko za řekou Styx. Jdu temným lesem a mám pocit, že mě sledují oči šelem. Budu další na řadě? Prokousnou mi hrdlo? Přidávám neustále hlasitost a nová deska je pro mě obřadem, hnilobným odkazem i morbidní představou. Stává se mi čím dál tím častěji, že se z nočních můr neprobudím. Chodím po světě, bílý jako stěna. Můj obličej vypadá jako od popela. Bojím se světla a moje krev je zkažená a černá. Už to nebude dlouho trvat a přejdu na druhou stranu. Těším se. Budou tam totiž hrát PANZERCHRIST. Black death metalová, mrazivá a temná vichřice z onoho světa!

I used to have scary fantasies. It was happening more and more often that I didn't wake up from nightmares. I walked around the world, white as a wall. My face looked like ashes. I was afraid of the light and my blood was corrupt and black. I shivered with cold, even though it was warm. People shunned me and I think they were afraid. Sometimes I spoke to them in a strange, animal language. They all finally breathed a sigh of relief when I crossed over to the other side. The land of endless shadows. Among the ghosts. I'm relieved too, because the only music played here is the music that's in my heart.

After last year's great album "Last of a Kind" (link to the review can be found at the bottom of the article), Danish death black metal darkies PANZERCHRIST come with a new EP "All Witches Shall Burn", which is again packed to the brim with darkness, evil and endless suffering. So light the fires again, sit back, and let the bloody waves of the River Styx carry you away.

Four well-written songs, with a hauntingly black atmosphere, will forever curse you. This is music I have worshipped since my youth and have followed the journey of this pack closely. I love that they can always play perfectly with morbid moods. It's like moldy bones cracking around me in an old dungeon. The songs are cold and absolutely dark. Not so many bands can do that. PANZERCHRIST can be remotely compared to the likes of DARK FUNERAL, NECROPHOBIC. A combination of chilling black metal passages with rough and raw death metal. All wrapped in moldy cobwebs and served on a coffin lid. The great sound, the eerie packaging, the production, the overall execution, it's all of course at its best. You can always count on this pack. My favorite time to revisit the "All Witches Shall Burn" EP was when it was dark outside and the icy wind was blowing. I always had to go out, put on my headphones and disappear from civilization. The novelty has a great ancient power to it, gathered perhaps in cursed burial grounds, long-abandoned catacombs and far beyond the River Styx. I walk through the dark woods and I feel the eyes of the beasts watching me. Will I be next? Will they bite my throat? I keep turning up the volume and the new record is a rite of passage, a rotten legacy and a morbid fantasy. It's becoming more and more common for me not to wake up from nightmares. I walk the world, white as a wall. My face looks like ashes. I'm afraid of the light and my blood is corrupt and black. It won't be long now before I cross over to the other side. I'm looking forward to it. Because PANZERCHRIST will be playing there. Black death metal, chilling and dark storm from the other world!
