Někdy mám pocit, že padám po zádech do temnoty. Nevím, jestli je to jenom zlý sen a nebo kombinace šílených vzpomínek. Svět okolo je zahalen do tmy a pokud občas vylezu z katakomb, tak je všude jenom krev, násilí a nenávist. Raději se zavírám do plesnivých kobek, abych tam poslouchal dobrou muziku. Dodává mi sílu, naději, energii pro to, abych přežil v současné divné době. PERRACIDE je jednočlenná kapela, projekt, pod kterým je podepsán legendární bubeník Perra Karlsson.
Staří fanoušci krásných zombie a opravdového extrémního metalu (mezi které se hrdě hlásím), určitě moc dobře vědí, že tenhle maniak bubnoval v kapelách jako BENEDICTION, IN AETERNUM, DESTROYER 666, NOMINON, DREADFUL FATE, TOXAEMIA, THORIUM a spoustě dalších. Perra Karlsson je podepsán i pod bicími a zpěvem PERRACIDE. K ostatním nástrojům se postavili neméně slavné a zkušené postavy z podsvětí (nebudu vypisovat všechny, ale myslím, že stačí zmínit třeba Johana Janssona z INTERMENT nebo Marca Greweho z MORGOTH a budete vědět, že se všichni o svoje nástroje postarali velmi dobře). Většinou bývá u podobných projektů trošku problém s tím, že jsou roztříštěné. To se ale tentokrát nestalo. Naopak, album drží pohromadě, jako čerstvě sešitá mrtvola. Dostanete prvotřídní staroškolský thrash death metal, který lze s klidem opatřit známkou vysoké kvality.
Nahrávku lze rozdělit na dvě pomyslné části. Jednak obsahuje covery songů od kapel jako BENEDICTION, NIFELHEIM, NASUM, INTERMENT a dalších. Dále jsou tu potom původní skladby (které napsal a složil Perra Karlsson). Stylově se samozřejmě jedná stále o to nejlepší, co lze v undergroundu zaslechnout. Motivy mají drive, takový ten pašivý feeling, který se dle mého nemůžete naučit. Musíte tuhle hudbu cítit, hrát jí srdcem. Znovu a znovu padám do hlubiny. Kolem mě je tma a během několika momentů se rozpadám na tisíc kousků. Líbí se mi zvuk (Gord Olson - Mixing, Mastering), který je krásně čitelný a zároveň pořádně syrový. Doporučuji vám, abyste si přečetli i texty, jsou velmi zajímavé a osobní. Dnes už jsem starý bastard, ale když poslouchám "Underdog", tak mám pocit, že jsem se právě probudil v devadesátých letech minulého století. Vedle mě leží krásná zombie a první co udělám, tak si otevřu pivo a pustím tuhle desku. Je totiž skvělá. Je takovým výletem do starých dobrých časů. Zároveň, a to je nutné doplnit, řeže tou správnou stranou nože. Perra Karlsson a jeho věrní odvedli skvělou práci. Povedlo se jim nahrát skladby, které žhnou a pálí. Pokud máte rádi thrash, death, ale klidně i punk nebo hardcore, myslím, že by se vám mohl tenhle zářez líbit. Osobně jsem si ihned album zařadil mezi ty nejposlouchanější. Uzavřen před současným šíleným světem si pouštím "Underdog" stále dokola. Připomíná mi kousky syrového masa, které někdo nakrájel s nadšením a odhodláním. Stejné pocity mám i z téhle novinky. Hergot brácho, tohle se opravdu povedlo! Připíjím na zdraví a snídám na víku od rakve! Thrash death metalová pocta nekonečným stínům, která hoří jasným plamenem! Absolutní tsunami ze starých márnic!

The world around me is shrouded in darkness, and if I occasionally emerge from the catacombs, there is only blood, violence and hatred. I prefer to shut myself in moldy dungeons to listen to good music. It gives me strength, hope, energy to survive in these strange times. PERRACIDE is a one-man band, a project signed by legendary drummer Perra Karlsson.
Old fans of beautiful zombies and real extreme metal (among which I proudly claim myself), will know very well that this maniac drummed in bands like BENEDICTION, IN AETERNUM, DESTROYER 666, NOMINON, DREADFUL FATE, TOXAEMIA, THORIUM and many more. Perra Karlsson is also signed under drums and vocals of PERRACIDE. The other instruments were handled by equally famous and experienced figures from the underworld (I won't list them all, but I think you just need to mention Johan Jansson from INTERMENT or Marc Grewe from MORGOTH and you will know that they all took care of their instruments very well). Usually there's a bit of a problem with projects like this that they are fragmented. But that didn't happen this time. On the contrary, the album holds together like a freshly stitched corpse. What you get is top-notch old school thrash death metal, which can be safely stamped with the mark of high quality.
The recording can be divided into two imaginary parts. Firstly, it contains covers of songs by bands like BENEDICTION, NIFELHEIM, NASUM, INTERMENT and others. Then there are the original songs (written and composed by Perra Karlsson). Stylistically, of course, this is still the best that can be heard in the underground. The motives have drive, a kind of pastoral feeling that in my opinion you can't learn. You have to feel this music, play it with your heart. I fall into the depths again and again. It's dark around me, and in a few moments I'm shattered into a thousand pieces. I like the sound (Gord Olson - Mixing, Mastering), which is beautifully clear and raw at the same time. I recommend you to read the lyrics too, they are very interesting and personal. I'm an old bastard nowadays, but when I listen to "Underdog" I feel like I just woke up in the 1990s. There's a beautiful zombie lying next to me and the first thing I do is open a beer and put this record on. It's great. It's kind of a trip to the good old days. At the same time, and this must be added, it cuts with the right side of the knife. Perra Karlsson and his faithful have done a great job. They have managed to record songs that burn and burn. If you like thrash, death, but also punk or hardcore, I think you might like this cut. Personally, I immediately ranked the album as one of my most listened to. Closed off from the current crazy world, I play "Underdog" over and over again. It reminds me of chunks of raw meat that someone cut up with passion and determination. I feel the same way about this new release. Damn, bro, this really worked! Here's to cheers and breakfast on a coffin lid! A thrash death metal tribute to endless shadows that burns bright! An absolute tsunami from the old morgues!
