Bolí mě na prsou a srdce občas vynechává. Vlasy mi už dávno vypadaly. Jsem ještě živý nebo nemrtvý? Ptám se stále dokola a procházím se dál temnými chodbami podzemí. Přehrabuji staré kosti, prosévám mezi prsty plesnivinu. Konečně jsem mezi svými. Stal jsem se stínem, tančícím skeletonem v rytmu tradičního death metalu.
Ctím rád a často kořeny stylu, klaním se stejným modlám, jako američtí MORTIFERUM. Hniloba vytažená z těch nejhlubších a nejstarších hrobů. Sněť slezinná, rozlezlá po vašem těle. Šílenství zvané death metal. Američané jsou zde, aby nám přinesli zprávy z onoho světa způsobem, jakým to činili klasické americké a finské kapely v devadesátých letech.
Líbí se mi doomová nálada otevřených hrobů, obdivují chorobný vokál. Nejvíc si ale užívám doslova mrtvolnou atmosféru. Člověk má při poslechu pocit, že před sebou tlačí vozík s ostatky padlého mnicha. Na stěnách hoří pentagramy a z nekonečných chodeb se ozývá nářek prokletých. Sklady postupně gradují, sekají, pálí a zároveň jsou chladné jako ruce uleželé mrtvoly. "Altar of Decay" je albem, které zní neskutečně ostře a zároveň temně. Pokud bych měl dnes jmenovat skupinu, která zhmotnila zlo, doporučil bych právě MORTIFERUM. Už zase hoří další hroby, opět vylézají nemrtví, aby nás sežehli plamenem nenávisti. Old school death metalová nahrávka, která je definicí samotné Smrti! Vynikající koktej, umíchaný ze zla, špíny, chladu a totálního inferna!

I like to feel the roots of the style, I worship the idols like American MORTIFERUM. The rot is pulled out from the deepest and oldest graves. The lineal rust is spreading inside of your body. The madness called death metal. Those Americans are here to bring us messages from the beyond world just like classic American and Finnish bands did it in the 90s.
I like the doom mood of open graves, admiring the choral vocal. But what I enjoy the most is the literally deadly atmosphere. While listening you feel like you are pushing a cart with the remains of a fallen monk. There are pentagrams burning on the walls and from the endless corridors you can hear the crying of cursed people. The warehouses are gradually graduate, cut, burn and at the same time they are cold like hands of a very old corpse. “Altar of Decay” is an album which sounds very sharp and dark at the same time. If I had to present any band which can materialized the evil, I would recommend MORTIFERUM. Another graves are burning, again the undead are coming out to burn us with the flames of hatred. Old school death metal album which has the definition of the death itself! Excellent cocktail mixed from evil, dirt, cold and a total inferno!
